One Local Summer Week 7

Looks good doesn't it?
Because I was too busy breathing deeply and trying not to hyperventilate all weekend (see earlier post), dh agreed to prepare our local meal this week. Wasn't that sweet?
We had green beans from our garden, potatoes from our CSA and baked local chicken with chipotle mulberry sauce.
Mmm, we could hardly wait to dig in.
Until we did.
Turns out, the chicken was too undercooked to eat, the beans were still crunchy and, frankly, the potatoes needed another 5 minutes.
We quickly whisked the bloody chicken into a pot to boil and added cheese to the potatoes to make a meal.
I plan to turn the spicy chicken into a Mexican Chicken Soup by adding jalapenos from our garden and as many other local ingredients as we can.
DH redeemed himself by creating delicious milkshakes from our homemade, local, ice cream.
Hey, at least he tried...

It looks wonderful. Maybe you should have tried something new...raw food diet.
