Bringing History to Life

Melissa has been reading about different Native American peoples. After learning about the Eastern Woodland peoples and how they built their shelters, I suggested it might be fun to make a model of a wigwam.
Later that afternoon, she and Sarah took the idea and ran with it, constructing wigwams from sticks and thatching them with long grasses and mud.

I was amazed at their creativity and the detail of their wigwams. Talk about bringing history to life!
