Last year we planted four blueberry bushes. They were looking a little anemic this spring, but with a dose of Miracid, they greened right up.
The bushes have been producing now for about two weeks - above is a our best single-day harvest, but most days we've gotten about a cup's worth of berries. They are sooo much better than store bought - more tart and flavorful. I think they just taste "bluer."
The raspberry bushes we planted this spring - you can see a couple raspberries peeking out from under the blueberries. Next year, we should have quite a nice crop of each type of berry.
We added 8 more blueberry bushes this spring, and all are doing well. I just read that mulching with coffee grounds will acidify the soil, so I'm going to try that approach in the hopes of avoiding commercial soil-acidifier.
This one step in the conversion of our lawn to food-production.

Herb said June berries might be good. We have some planted and I'll let you know. They wouldn't need the acidification
I do want blueberries though.
